Known as the city of fairs, Izmir will host two major events from February 20 to 23. The IMATECH - 3rd Industrial Production Technologies Fair, bringing together the machinery and manufacturing sectors, will open its doors on February 20. Meanwhile, the Optic World Izmir - 2nd Optics, Eyewear, Ophthalmology, and Technologies Fair, showcasing the latest technological advancements and products in the optical industry, will begin on February 21 at Fuar Izmir.
The IMATECH - Industrial Production Technologies Fair will welcome visitors for the third time from February 20 to 23. The fair will bring together professionals looking to discover innovations in industrial production technologies, strengthen international collaborations, and keep up with the latest industry trends. Hosted by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by İZFAŞ and İzgi Fuarcılık in cooperation with 4M Fuarcılık, the event will showcase a wide range of industrial systems required for the factories of the future, including machine tools, CNC and laser machines, industrial robots, welding technologies, marking and automation systems.
The fair will also serve as a platform for B2B meetings and trade agreements, with many machine sales expected to be finalized. This year, delegations from the Bosnia and Herzegovina Chamber of Commerce, the Kosovo Businessmen's Association, and the Užice Chamber of Commerce from Serbia will attend, strengthening international business relations. Additionally, professional visitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Iran, Kuwait, Kosovo, Egypt, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Saudi Arabia, and Ukraine are expected. Last year, the event attracted 14,080 visitors from 63 countries, including 12,350 domestic and 1,730 international attendees.
On February 21, the Optic World Izmir - 2nd Optics, Eyewear, Ophthalmology, and Technologies Fair will open its doors at Fuar Izmir, hosted by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by İZFAŞ with the support of industry leaders. Last year, the fair attracted nearly 5,000 professional visitors, generating great interest. This year, the event will be exclusively open to professionals until February 23.
The fair will showcase the latest products, accessories, and equipment in the optics sector, featuring new technologies developed to enhance vision quality and meet aesthetic demands. Spanning 6,000 square meters, the event will welcome 56 domestic exhibitors from cities such as Izmir, Istanbul, Antalya, Balıkesir, Manisa, and Yozgat. Additionally, over 100 international buyers from Germany, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Algeria, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Iraq, Iran, Kosovo, and Egypt are expected to attend.
Optic World Izmir serves as a key platform for industry professionals looking to stay updated on the latest technological advancements, form new business partnerships, and strengthen their competitive edge in global markets. With the rising demand for optical products and increasing eyewear usage, the fair aims to accelerate the growth and development of the sector.
