    OUR HISTORY

    The "Domestic Goods Exhibition", which was held together with the 1st İzmir Economy Congress held on 17 February 1923 by İZFAŞ, was the first step of the İzmir International Fair.

    The Fair;

    Was organized as the İzmir 9 September Exhibition in 1927, İzmir 9 September Exhibition in 1928, 9 September Fair in 1933, İzmir International Fair in 1934, İzmir International 9 September Fair in 1935.

    Kültürpark, where İZFAŞ organizes the specialized fairs and the İzmir International Fair, was put into service by Dr. Behçet Uz on September 1, 1936.

    The first İzmir International Fair held in the Kulturpark area was held in 1936 as the International İzmir Fair.

    Turkey has been involved in this development since the eighties, with the replacement of general trade fairs in the world with specialized fairs.

    As a result of the success of the İzmir International Fair over the years and the developments in the Turkish economy, İZFAŞ was established on February 7, 1990, under the leadership of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, in partnership with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, Aegean Region Chamber of Industry, Aegean Exporters' Union, İzmir Chamber of Commerce and İzmir Commodity Exchange.

    İZFAŞ, as a public company that has adopted the principle of originality and success, aims to bring its fairs to a level that can compete with world fairs and the applicability of contemporary modern fairs. The main purpose of the establishment of İZFAŞ is the development of fairs in İzmir, the revival of the city's economy thanks to the fair, and to contribute to the cultural and artistic life of İzmir.
